            Board of Juvenile Corrections

·        Definition/Practice of treating Adjudicated vs. Non-adjudicated SO's in DJC custody, and the expectations of the counties.  John Triplett attended the last Board of Juvenile Corrections Meeting and discussed this topic as it was discussed by the Board.  Expectations of the counties were discussed. 

·        FFT and expectations of DJC and counties.  Jon Burnham passed out draft MOA’s for counties and contracts for juveniles, which were discussed.  Some changes were discussed and agreed upon, and special situations were also discussed.  Please look at the drafts and return comments back to John Burnham at jburnham@djc.state.id.us as soon as possible.

·        HIPAA Committee.  Brian Walker spoke about the HIPAA rules and policy for detention.

·        Clerk Larry Gahn is now President of the IACC and will be our representative. 

·        Larry spoke of 4 points that the IACC has committed to

o       Continue work on Juvenile Justice Issues

o       Continue to work on Mental Health Issues.

o       Leadership development with county officials.

o       Profiles of counties.

·        Continue to improve relationships with judges, clerks, commissioners, etc.
