The Canyon County Courthouse, DMV, and Administration Building will close early at 3pm on Wednesday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve). All County offices and departments will also be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 for Christmas Day. Most County offices and departments, including the DMV, will also be closed the following day, Friday, Dec. 26.
Canyon County Treasurer Tracie Lloyd is reminding taxpayers that property tax payments are due by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22.
From time to time, the County’s DMV and Driver License Unit is forced to temporarily close down due to technical issues with the Idaho Department of Transportation’s computer system. This most recently occurred on Friday, Nov. 14 at approximately 3:30 p.m., forcing the DMV to close for the remainder of the day. Even though this issue is completely out of our control and caused by ITD’s computer system, we want to apologize for any future inconveniences this may cause.
